My favourite TVC

this television commercial is amazing. i must have watched it a million times and it still moves me with its subtleties and languid tone.

Isobar Australia launches

As part of our move to Walsh Bay with Aegis Media, OneDigital has folded into the global Isobar Network.

I've spent last week designing and building a static HTML site for Isobar Australia - there are some video elements which we'll shoot in the coming weeks and slot into the site. I'm really looking forward to seeing it all come together. Its really satisfying to get a project to start/finish a project in 5 days... reassuring that it can indeed be done.

I'll give an update when the new elements have been added. Check it out in its current state at www.isobaraustralia.com.au

king of the rodeo

On the way to dinner last night i heard a familiar lyric on the radio... it was a female doing a cover of an old Kings of Leon track called king of the rodeo. It was part of the Local Fidelity program on FBi radio.

I made a promise to look it up and hopefully figure out who was responsible for such an unreal cover of an amazing track. From a time when Kings of Leon played 1 concert per Australian tour at the Hordern - long before 'Sex on fire' spread like herpes over australian radio.

So... anyway, check it out... i'm going to listen to this on repeat til i vomit:

image bookmarking

it seems they're breeding - the likes of ffffound.com are being joined with a bunch of newcomers....
great for days when you're lacking some visual stimuli in a bland or empty office :)

long lost toy

I stumbled upon this image on flickr while i was searching for some stock shots of kids toys. This was THE most amazing toy... the ultimate tree house, the leaves would raise up to reveal the house inside.

I love how the stickers on the wall look 80's... particularly the microwave.
